Meet your home guide and teacher...

Hello!
I'm a design school drop out and New York Times bestselling author of three design books. I live with my husband, three grown boys, a dog and two cats in a 1905 Queen Anne Victorian. We've lived in 15 homes in the past 29 years: from rentals, to condos, tiny houses, historical mansions, builder grade, fixer-uppers and everything in between.
None of my homes were my perfect dream house. I've never had a huge decorating budget or a general contractor for a husband, and I don't love DIY projects unless I can finish them in 15 minutes.
But I still managed to love every place we've ever lived.
My past homes have been featured in Better Homes & Gardens, Cottages and Bungalows, Ladies' Home Journal, The Wal Street Journal, USAToday and I was named a to 20 Creative by Christianity Today.
